I am booked on a Singapore - Darwin flight in March of next year. It seems that the plane will be a 763, however I could not find any information on this plane on the Qantas flight. Has anyone done this short trip, or know what plane the 763 is. And is it worth upgrading to Business, if so which seats are good/best?

The 767 is quite a good business class. I have travelled it from Sydney to HNL a couple of times. Yes it is definitely worth the 8000 pts each way to upgrade!!
all seats a virtually the same. i think the 767-300 is a 1 2 2 configurating. it should be on their website.
I always upgrade on a 763!!
the food is quite good as well.

The best seats on the international 763's are 1A thru 5A..you get a window and an aisle seat, plus an extra little shelf to store stuff in-flight.
