Kms for Points conversion rate?

When the new Miles based FF system comes in, will any existing points be converted on a ratio of 1:1 or will one need 1.6 or so points for every mile under the new system?

I have read the booklet which came with a freinds card (mine hasn't come yet) and it wasn't overly clear which makes me think that one might need 1.6 points.

Any ideas?

Best Regards

1:1 Luftaom.
By the way, does anyone know what mileage will be given for Hilton stays from 15th September. Presently we get 1,500 points.

Bradley, your points will not be converted on 15 September - you will still have the same number. Award prices have changed - some up some down. Depending on where you may want to go book before 15 Sept.

Koala,

Points for Hilton stays will not change from the existing 1500 points per stay.
