Quick Bag question
If I were to fly SYD-CNS-MEL, I can have 1 32kg bag in economy, correct?
Also what option would earn me tier pts on BA (if anyone knows) super saver? Flexi saver? any jetstar options? |
In answer you your first query, yes. See here: Checked Baggage.
Perhaps you should ask the second question in the BA EC Forum. |
Has the economy baggage allowance on QF domestic always been 32kgs or is this a recent change?
|
It's been up to 32Kg per bag for at least 13 years. However, in 1994, you were allowed to check 2 x 32Kg bags in QF Domestic WHY.

32 kg in JetStar
But please be careful when flying JQ on a QF flight number. You would think, QF rules apply(the 32 kg among others). But JQ happily charges you here on excess baggage, since they apply a strict 20 kg rule, which I find unacceptable in that scenario. QF should consider how to deal with that situation and give orders to their subsidiary.
