Adding an infant to an existing booking

Not sure whether to post this here or on the BA board...

I have an award ticket issued by BA for a Qantas flight. I'll need to add an infant to the booking.

Should I contact BA or Qantas to do this? I'm just concerned that BA will invent some spurious charge if I go via them whereas Qantas seem to have a more sensible take on this matter....

Thanks

Tony

I don't think it is possible. :(

For most international markets, you would need to purchase a 10% fare ticket for the infant which needs to be on a separate PNR with reference your existing PNR. Please note it is 10% of the full fare for the cabin the adult is in. It could be $1000+ for premium cabins.

For domestic Australian markets, I have no idea. :p

QF (refreshingly) doesn't charge any points for an infant for an award booking.

You would have to ring BA, as this is a BA booking (the carrier is irrelevant in this case unfortunately).

sorry, should have mentioned that this is for a domestic (Aus.) booking.

Thanks - will call BA and report back!
