FF points for catching the train

An interesting article in the SMH claims that QF is looking to buy an Australian rail company. Will we see QP at your local train station and FF points for trips taken to work on the train? I doubt it, but it would be nice :D
Lets hope that if QF do go into rail they have more success than the money losing Virgin rail network in the UK ;)

Perhaps they are planning on replacing the b*s service between mining towns but adding a caboose to the iron ore trains?

If it happens, my guess it will be Great Southern Railways, the operators of The Ghan and Indian-Pacific.

There is talk about the NSW government wanting to get rid of CountryLink but I would not imagine that this is the sort of business QF would be interested in.

Remember QF were also interested in trains some years ago when the talk was all about VFT's (very fast trains) between SYD/CBR/MEL. Everything old is new again.
