Way to accelerate status?

Just returned to Australia after 6 years overseas. Am top tier with American but want to start rebuilding my Qantas points/status.

Is there a way to accelerate getting back to Gold/Platinum status?

Thanks in advance

Do a lot of flying in premium cabins in a short space of time :)

Qantas do not have things like AAs candy thief challenge nor are likely to match status. I dont see the prob really anyway; by having Executive Platinum status with AA you have just about all the benefits that you would have as a QF Platinum.

Also I would seriously consider whether you would be better off staying with the AA scheme due to the much better value for redemptions that AA offers
