There is nothing better than a shinny new paint job on a QF plane as it comes into a clear blue Sydney day.
I doubt there would be any A380's in full livery as yet so the concept photo might not be completely accurate.

Qantas Red has Changed?
Yesterday I saw 4 QF aircraft at SYD including VH-OED.
I do not know if it is due to the weathering of the red but the new scheme definitely is brighter, the red seems to be more scarlet. Considering the red is known as Qantas Red in the printing business I wonder if there has been a change.

For those interested...
As at 07OCT08, Qantas had 13 747-400s fitted with Premium Economy (12 if you don't count -OJK in MNL).
767-300 VH-OGH has had a configuration change and is now equipped with Millennium seating with a 30J/224Y offering.
Only 10 Dreamtime equipped 767s remaining...
Cheers

There's really only a couple of Kangaroo 744s to go, then the rest of the Pacific 744 fleet...
Don't worry.. you'll be made aware of when the first 2-class 744 receives Y+

heads up on QF 9 20 Oct?
Hi all
Not sure if i post this here but for anyone booked in First (or hoping for an upgrade) on QF9 (MEL-SIN-LHR) departing on 20 October it looks like it has gone to a 2 class configuration. I was just checking seatcounter as my sister is flying that day and F and A does not even appear on the inventory.
Regards

For those interested, QFlyer has been relaunched (massive - don't ask how long it took me) with a striking new look. Gone is the pesky flash and bland and uninspiring pages... and in with colour, pretty icons and more information.
Thanks to the many wonderful people that contribute information to the website and the many people that show their support, because without you all, the website would not be where it is today. It takes a significant amount of my time to update the website and it's the many wonderful comments that keep me going (in addition to my geekish interest in the Qantas fleet).
To see the website from the beginning, please go here:

All the best for 2009! Here's to another year of safe and happy travels with the Qantas Group!
Cheers

I realise that this question is a little left field, but does anyone know if QF will change the upper deck J config (section F) from 22 to 24 seats on all aircraft?
