IMO the wording is only sightly confusing. It is contructed as:i.e. you can do either of the three options separated by the semi-colons ( ; ). The carat (/\) relates specifically to the third option of getting to Asia on QF/BA. I almagamated the first two options as between them they basically cover the Asian ports that BA and QF fly to from Oz.

Looks like they've taken a different view again and decided to make it quite clear this time! BTW. When you register, you get an email back saying the promo is for double points - unless the email has been changed in the last few days!!

Exclamation Australian Airlines Flight Update

New services to Phuket

From 3 December 2005 to 31 January 2006, Australian Airlines will operate two non-stop services, subject to government approval, from Sydney to Phuket.

AO7911 will depart Sydney at 12noon and arrive in Phuket at 5.10pm. The return flight, AO7912, will depart Phuket at 6.30pm and arrive in Sydney at 7.25am the following day.

The new services will operate every Tuesday and Saturday offering convenient connections to customers originating in Adelaide, Melbourne, Canberra and Brisbane. The flights are loaded and available for sale.


Schedule changes to Bali

Due to the current dampened demand for Bali, Australian Airlines will withdraw Perth - Bali and Melbourne - Bali from 10 November 2005 to 31 January 2006.

Australian Airlines will continue to operate three weekly return services between Sydney - Bali and Singapore - Bali every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

I think you have to fly between Franfurt and Sydney on QF5 or QF6 to get 5000 points

Just got back from a Singapore trip, and in case others weren't aware yet the 50% more points includes status bonuses as well, which was a pleasant addition, as other bonuses in the past didn't include this in my experience.

New Services to Vancouver during the peak summer period 09 November 2005

It's official: Forom the Industry sales site: QANTAS News: New Services to Vancouver.

During the peak summer season, Qantas will operate services via San Francisco to Vancouver and return.

The services will operate every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday from 14 June to 13 August 2006 inclusive, and offer First, the award winning Skybed in Business and in-seat entertainment in Economy.

QF73 will depart Sydney at 1355 arriving in San Francisco at 1015 then depart San Francisco at 1205 arriving in Vancouver at 1420. QF74 will depart Vancouver at 1830 arriving in San Francisco at 2050 then depart San Francisco at 2240 arriving in Sydney at 0615 two days later.

The new services provide more capacity to Canada during the busy peak period.

The flights are now loaded and available for sale.
