IIRC, the "Get In Early Sale" was for next year (5Feb-13Mar), the dates are different.

As for price, yes it is more expensive BNE/MEL was $119 with that sale, now $129 with this sale.

This week's NZ Jetconnect Sale has:

AKL/ZQN $79 (14 Oct 07 - 27 Oct 07)
AKL/WLG $59 (25 Aug 07 - 08 Sep 07)

Ungh, date's still don't work.

Also, since yesterday the targeted flight has dropped from N9 Q9 O9 X9 to N9 Q9 O7 X7. The other 'direct' flight has been N3 Q9 O0 X0 or worse for a month or two.

So that's about to change to O5 X5.

What I find interesting is that the QANTAS sale starts 08 Jan, whereas Virgin and Jetstar start 15 Jan.

Exclamation PLEASE NOTE YOUR NEW FLIGHT NUMBER IS NOW QF2791 to QUEENSTOWN

I just received an email from "QANTAS AIRWAYS CONTACT CENTRE AUCKLAND".

As inferred above, earlier this week I booked a flight for myself and mrs serfty AKL to ZQN, this was on QF4191.

Lo and behold, I have just received another email from them advising of a change to the flight number as per the above title.

I have checked and from Sunday October 28th, there is to be a restructuring of Jetconnect New Zealand Domestic flights.

At the moment a query on Qantas.com it really seems to be in a state of flux at the moment as I can't even find QF2791 on the timetables. (Manage Your Booking does show us booked on QF2791)

QF4190 has now changed to QF2792; same times but cannot book (or see on E/F).

Nope they all seem to have the 27xx numbers now (with red triangle). I guess this means jetconnect is being rebranded QFLink?

I wonder how long it will take to get emails advising of the changed flight numbers for all my other bookings?

Checking a couple I see it isn't as simple as 41xx => 27xx and also some flight times have changed. Check your bookings.

Qantas has cancelled the DRW-DPS route from October - got a friendly phone call from them today in relation to my flight booked on the route in December. No reaccommodation yet, methinks they're waiting to see if they can settle a deal with Airnorth to take over the route before they finalise the flights. The flights still appear on the timetable at this point, but they're not bookable anymore after October, seem to be zeroed out.
