QF NB

QantasLink recently announced a big increase in services from Brisbane.

They will add flights to Hervey Bay, Gladstone, Biloela, Blackwater, Roma, Charleville and Emerald. The airline will also use bigger DH3s on some BNE-HVB services as well as bigger Q400s on weekend Longreach flights and some Bundaberg services.

This one is odd. I bought seats two weeks ago SYD AKL return (to escape APEC Sept 6-9) for $398 return. The sale now is more expensive and sure enough all the sub$200 one way seats are gone.

No they have just migrated to the QF NZ site. I received the QF email and thought that their new prices are actually quite expensive, but I hardly travel QF Y Trans-Tasman anymore, then I noticed that the $199 seemed to be on the QF NZ site and they are in NZD.
As is often the case that you can get cheaper QF flights if you do not originate in Australia. Evidence also points out that this is common to all carriers where it can be cheaper to book the same tickets if you are out of their home market.
