Help for a newbie
Hi all,
This would be my first post then!!! (Just found this great site!!). I have a quick question.. I have just joined the QF FF programme and I live in the UK. I have been told by the nice folk at Qantas that they do not send out cards etc to overseas members. Has anyone else experienced this?? I kinda would like one, especially as I am flying to MIA on BA in 2 weeks!! Does it matter that I don't have a card?? I have given my number when booking the flight though. Thanks in advance. Longreach QFF will send you a card if you pay them a fee if you feel you really need one. I think it is about $30AUD. In fact it will be couried out to you! With BA, I suggest that you log into 'Manage my Booking' available from the ba.com website, enter your reservation number and surname and in the appropriate screen, add your Qantas Frequent Flyer number. Often when travel agent's put your frequent flyer card details into the system, it does not take hold, so it is always better to do it via the airline you are actually travelling on. Obviously doing this via the BA website carries out this action. Enjoy your flight! :) |
The only time you need the card is when you reach Gold status and want to access the BA lounges where they will insist on seeing the card. I think Qantas will send out a card when you reach Gold, and possibly Silver status, just not for Bronze.

Welcome to the Qantas Forum 'Longreach'. I really like your choice of name - it's one that I should have chosen ^ I would recommend for you to take a flight out to Longreach if you're ever in Australia. The QF Museum is great. I have heard they are trying to obtain a 707 and they just recently obtained a DC3 or something similar. Oops rambling on, sorry!
Enjoy your QF NB status for now - it's great :D :td: :o Cheers David |
Maybe they can borrow John Travolta's...they've invested enough in it!
Sorry...not exactly on-thread...but couln't resist! |
