Domestic Australia flights in the post-May QFF zones

Hi

Table of domestic australia flights within each of the new zones (post May 05).

I have a mini table on the current zones and find it handy to refer to so as to maximise points and status earning.

Not sure if this has been posted, or if some kind soul has already set up table they wouldnt mind posting. Thought I'd check before trying to compile it myself.

Thanks.

Qantas have kindly provided a Destination Chart (32K .pdf).

This could be used for basis/source for your table(s).

That helps! I should have thought to check QF website

If I understand correctly though, it wont be accurate for earning where there is a connection as the way segments are added works differently for earning (points and status) than for burning (ie awards).

My attempt at table. Please advise any corrections, additions or deletions.

Please note some routes are only operated by Jetstar (and some both by Jetstar and Qantas).

They have the same defined zone distances for SC's & Awards, but yeah.

PER-AKL must be via ADL/SYD/MEL/BNE; in the table it used MEL & specifies zone 4.

However via BNE the one way trip goes over 3600mi and the journey becomes zone 5.

AFAIK you could have A=B-C where for example A-B is zone 1, B-C is zone 2 so that earn 1 x zone 1 plus 1 x zone 2, but A-C via B award is zone 2 (because combined distance isnt enough to fall into zone 3).

Does QF have direct flights from SYD? I included all the direct flights listed on the destination chart (post #2), but of course could be out of date.

Please post any corrections/additions/deletions.

Not unless they are using a spare Concorde bought on eBay can it take only 3.10 methinks SYD-BME. You looked at a map of oz lately serfty? Hell it is up[ near Indonesia!

I booked that flight this week and QF email confirmation says "QF 1042 depart 0845 arrive 1155 - duration 5 hours 10 mins"

Heck I then go Broome-Darwin and even THAT is more than 3.10 mins!
