Hi,
Can anyone tell me the number to contact an Aussie (Telstra or Optus) operator in the USA?

Depends what type of operator you want to speak with! if you want to place a reverse charge call, then the Telstra service is called Australia Direct. It is listed in most telephone directories around the world. Or look here on the Telstra web pages.

The AT&T number in the USA for Australia Direct is 1800 682 2878.
