Bug on website

If you are Silver and reach 250 SCs the summary says you have 450 to reach Gold but NOT that you need 50 to retain Silver, assumes you have retained it

What date does it say your status reassesment will take place. Has it changed to the next membership year?

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding you, but I don't necessarily count that as a bug... I think that's more of a subtle way to encourage you to fly more to achieve the next level, and not to just maintain your current level.

What does it say for a WP?

This is my statement:

Current status: Gold
Status reassessment will occur: 30 Nov 2004
Status credits earned from 01 Dec 2003: 1,000
Additional Status credits required by 30 Nov 2004 to attain Platinum: 400

We all know that if you already have a particular status, it's quite easy to renew it without quite reaching the published SC level required - and that renewal sometimes happens automatically in this situation. I wonder if the change in the display indicates the level at which this happens?

I see it as a bug. You've earnt enough to retain SG, but they state you're going to be reassessed this year still. I remember that once I've retain a status (like SG), my reassessment date moves forward a year (i.e. to the next year).

Just my opinion.

Maybe its not a bug

Dave

The assessment year HAS moved to 31 October 2005.

Whats wrong with that? They have renewed you early. That's hardly a bad thing. If you get the additional SCs by the end of Oct 2004, then you will still get promoted to Gold.

I have a friend who has been gold for 3 years.
he has only done 270 status credits this year and his reassessment is sept 2005.
he mostly travels BA and elal
I have another friend who has been gold for 3 years and has done 600 status credits and his assessment still says jan 05

(ps I know this for a fact as I look after both of their FF accounts)

he mostly travels Qantas
so they are doing it for some and not for others but you would think they would look after the one who travels qantas not the partners :td:

Dave
I'm not complaining just bemused.

Craigo Aug 26, 2004 7:35 pm

That's interesting. My statement currently says:

Status credits earned from 01 Jan 2004: 280
Additional Status credits required by 31 Dec 2004 to retain Silver: 20
Additional Status credits required by 31 Dec 2004 to attain Gold: 420

So they're telling me I won't retain Silver for the third year if I don't fly again until January?

Moot point anyway - I'm flying up to BrisVegas on the October long weekend for my niece's christening. So, if they are any Brissy FTers at the airport on Monday 4 Oct, I'll be at the QP around lunchtime for the 1305 flight back to Canberra.

Current status: Platinum
Status reassessment will occur: 30 Sep 2005
Status credits earned from 01 Oct 2003: x,xxx
Additional Status credits required by 30 Sep 2004 to receive
complimentary 'Partner Gold' membership: yyy

Note that my reassessment date was rolled to 2005 before I actually hit the 1200 SC's for WP requalification. Note the requirement for Partner Gold qualification is still by Sep 2004.
