How long do points take to post?
 

I joined QF FF in early June on the promise of 1000 bonus pts & an entry into the Win a ticket for Life thingie. Then I faxed them a hotel receipt on 23rd June asking for the pts to be allocated. Nothing has appeared to date! Waaaaaaa! ;) Any idea how long they should take to post the pts?

I would guess shortly after the promo ends (31 July)?

Hotel points can be anything from a few days to several months. I think my max was about 7 months. Thye just appear after some arbitrary time. The delay is not QF's, but as a result of the hotel chains not doing the transfers regularly. Some hotels seem to store up 3, 4 or even 6 months worth of stays and send them all through at once.

My recent experience has been better than it was 3 or 4 years ago. But QF generally won't look into missing hotel points until the stay is at least three months old. If the hotel receipt has you QF FF number noted on it, just sit back and wait and after about three months send an email including a scanned copy of the receipt to QF FF.

And then chase up to make sure the bonus points get posted.

The QF website states the 1000 points are credited end Aug.

agree that hotel points can take forever to be credited. I dont bother to call the hotel anymore, if its over 2 months, I just send a copy of the invoice to the QF FF Service Centre in Melbourne and they credit the points pretty quick. In my (limited) experience, only one of the hotels i stay at regularly, posts points even before my credit card charge has gone through.
