Double points on QF link.
:) Hi after many weeks of just reading post's I have taken the jump to join, hello to all.
As just a low QF club bronze I look for max points. I am doing a little baby mr BNE-NTL-BNE on QF link to get double points. I also have BNE-TSV-BNE, for the price at the time was good for TSV only $59 o/w no double points as it is not a QF link flt. Mrs MR is looking fwd to an over nite trip up Nth. How ever BNE-NTL-BNE was $93 o/w she is not happy, but it does take me to the 120,000 point level. Was this good, bad or indifferent? Thks to all :p |
I'm lost, is there some special promotion on with Qantaslink that gets you double points? Welcome by the way.

Now, if they were offering double SC's that would make it worthwhile!

I agree, points are nice but status credits are delicious.
Points are the toast (toast points if you like) Status credits are the caviar that you like to plonk on top |
They may be double points, but the nominated regionals are still relatively expensive flights on a mileage basis. Cheaper to fly SYD-MEL and rent a car to drive up to ABX than fly SYD-ABX. Of course, the time factor, speeding fines, stress, tiredness and availability of the QP at MEL but not ABX is not considered here.

Nice to hear my home port mentioned :D Sad there is no QP at ABX - who do I lobby for this? That said probably wouldn't use it too much. Departure is to easy: for instance I arrive 5-10 min before flight, the CSA knows me and has a BP ready to go and I'm on my way: ^ No security though! Double points is a nice thing, I'll be taking advantage of it. I assume it's something to claw back a few REX customers? Noted that ABX-SYD-ABX has had very good volumes lately though.
