Been stuck in a loop too- frustrating that some airport combinations arent even updated- eg ktm-cmb on UL isnt on the system- really hard to get anything credited- lost 100 credits for saw-doh return and mysteriously had other 100 credited...

I had better luck.
Mine was rejected twice for different reasons, one saying points were already credited and another about name not matching. Oddly only 1 leg of the booking was credited, yet they had trouble with the other. I sent to that email address, scans of my boarding pass + screenshot of my points activity showing the obvious gap. Got response and points credited same day. I wonder how many give up, or if you fly too frequently, don't check and miss it. Keep your boarding pass! |
Anyone know how long it takes for GK flights to get credited? Did 2 Nrt-kix rt in a day and one fuk-nrt for safe measures just to keep my status and sadly now a lowly gold as they havent credited even after 2 weeks :) Any experiences?

I flew QF yesterday chc-mel-per. QF metal and ticket. normally flights credit upon arrival, but I have none whatsoever. What is the normal period to wait before getting concerned please? thanks |

Seeking some advice on behalf of my Mum, which is slightly different to the OP's situation.
Earlier this year I made return bookings with QR for her and my Dad AKL-DOH-DUB business class and inputted their QF numbers. Before their flights back home last month I checked their bookings online and noticed that while his QF number appeared, hers showed a random VA number (note she's never had a VA account, and the number was nothing like her QF number). They're relatively old so I gave her very clear instructions on getting the number changed at check-in in DUB to her QF number, which she was able to do. After their return I logged in to both their accounts and Dad's had credited properly, and along with some BA flights and some local JQ domestic flights he'd hit Silver. Mum's only showed the return flights (ie DUB-DOH-AKL). I also checked their boarding passes (which I always ask them to save) and sure enough the offending VA number appeared for the AKL-DOH-DUB legs. I shot off a retro credit claim via the website for the AKL-DOH-DUB flights, but wasn't totally surprised when it was declined as "Unsuccessful - points already awarded to Qantas or other frequent flyer program." Given she doesn't have a VA account and she wouldn't have changed the frequent flyer number in AKL or at any other point I'm a bit confused as to how this has happened. But that aside I'm wondering what is the best way of having these flights properly credited. Is the above Qantas email the best approach here? Or do I need to go to QR and somehow have them confirm that the points haven't been credited to a VA programme that doesn't exist? Thanks! |

Just recently flew QR9709/BA122 a month ago in Business Class (I). Checked and triple checked that its a mileage earning class. Checked in with BA122, Sold as QR9709 visible, with the QF number and tier status visible on the boarding pass. Fast forward a few weeks later, Points and SCs were not credited, so I applied for retroactive claim, and that was rejected. Decided to email the FF email and hasn't got a reply for ages, though had the auto-reply SR number. Lets see how this goes. |

I received an email within 2 days of it being received, had the points credited and 50,000 QFF points as 'goodwill'. No one should have to do this. I avoid Qantas now unless there is absolutely no other option. |

Is there some reason not to just call? On occasions where I have had incorrect information ( barring one obscure T&C issue ) speaking to a person has made it easy to deal with
The exception was on a BA flight in Europe in business class when travelling in fare basis of F ( only 2 cabins on aeroplane ) where only business class points were credited and had to take it further to get credited in line with terms at the time that said that points credit based on fare basis and not cabin flown |
