Singapore F lounge
Horrible delay on QF1 tonight, retimed from 11pm to 0415am so I have jumped ship to Emirates via Dubai…
meanwhile here’s the current Singapore lounge menu. Such a beautiful friendly lounge ❤️
Prawn wontons ++++++
Sneaky off menu pork belly bun
Crayfish Laksa +++

Sydney 1K My friend, transiting from Melbourne, was on that delayed flight to London. He said they closed the first lounge at 11pm despite the delay of qf1. Seems like a pretty cr@ppy way to manage first class passengers in such a situation.

Clearly this didn't happen.

To be fair to QF - how much notice did QF have? If not much, it is not exactly easy to allow staff who say had been working from 2pm until 11pm to work an additional 5 hours on top of the 9 they had worked. Of course they may have families to go to, transportation issues at 4am, require minimum rest period until the next shift etc. Not sure, but we are appreciating staff who are people as well and cannot be expected to drop everything either. And even with notice, they may not have many takers for a shift from 11pm to 5am?
However, did QF do anything?
Did QF keep the business lounge open longer (i.e. pool resources?), organise access to the other paid lounges that stay open longer, access EK lounge, organise rooms in the airside hotel, recommend the QR lounge - which is better anyway, or did they do sweet FA and just close the doors?
Some context on what was offered would be good.

EK / QF DXB - LHR (Refurbished A380 (MUCH better IFE screen and fresher cabin)
EK Service on both legs was very attentive, friendly and personal.
I have heard it can be stuffy but that was not my experience at all.

Koru Flyer I believe the business lounge remained open. At my suggestion he went to the vastly superior Qatar lounge until that closed at 2am.
