F&B is better at the Flagship Lounge.

QF LAX lounges will be very busy before QF flights. I’d go elsewhere.

I can't imagine they'd be too busy prior to a morning departure?

Regards,

The latest I heard from a QF agent at LAX is that they were getting ready to reopen the first class lounge, but had an issue with kitchen extractor fans and fumes/smell leaking either into or from another lounge. Still unresolved. Seems odd, so might as well be made up… The business lounge was incredibly packed (and f&b pretty poor, per usual).

This sounds like the issue that impacted and closed the Centurion Lounge, which I believe is under the QF lounge? But the Centurion Lounge just reopened this week, so it sounds like the issue has now been resolved.

Ya the Amex lounge is under the QF F lounge. Really hope they get this open by the end of the month. Hopefully Amex reopening is a good sign

Went to the AA Lounge. It was fine, but not spectacular.

I have been there before and it hasn't changed.

Can’t wait for it! Planning to take my younger brother on an AA “mileage run” later this year to spend the day there and sample all the food/drinks.

(You can get there post-security from T4 right?)

Amazing news. I miss my pre departure ritual of squid, steak, and three Bloody Mary's.

+1 for the signature Fried Calamari and dessert.

And the seared white fish was fantastic too!
