QF business class care package

I just ordered the QF business class care package (one of each) to be delivered to my parents. What a wonderful and innovative idea!

I would have ordered more for delivery to my friends who are grounded FFers in this current pandemic but delivery is for Australia only.

Just thought this was brilliant!

And if you are really keen, you can also order on the cheap airline meals (frozen) that are getting close to the expiry date...10 for $25 (!)

Thanks, but no thanks. None of those looked very appealing. Yikes!

The Tim Tams on the other hand in this package were an added bonus: https://www.qantasstore.com.au/p/qan...e-pack/1051161

That is what some of those in mandatory incarceration are being charged $60 per day for, with no choice to opt out.

That is dreadful.

It is bad enough they make you quarrantine in a hotel and pay a fortune for the pleasure but that food looks dreadful. I mean no one ever said they flew on a plane for the food.

(Other countries let international travelers quarrantine in their homes. Allow them to order groceries so they can cook.)

This sub forum is about Qantas and not about general Australian covid-19 quarantine practises. Better if this sub forum keep on topic.

Where has it been stated that airline meals are being provided to those in quarantine? The $3000 fee includes meals anyway

[mod hat] Please not again. No general quarantine and border closure discussion here. [/mod hat]

I think Gate Gourmet was the VA catering. Snapfresh is the brand that DNATA have taken over as well as QF catering, and also are selling meals.

Got one of these today:

https://www.traveller.com.au/qantas-...-public-h1qxjx
One thousand Qantas 747 galley carts, stocked with items from champagne and Australian red and white wine to Tim Tams, pyjamas and an exclusive-to-Qantas First Class Sheridan throw, went on sale on Thursday. All 1000 were sold within a couple of hours, generating about $1 million in revenue for the airline.
As a WP I got an email this morning and thought, why not? I got the full size cart.

I can think of a reason why not - based on it raising $1,000,000 and there being 1000 sold , it suggests that the trolleys were being sold for $1000 each

I didn't get an email though - probably since I am on a do not spam me list

The full size carts were $1747 and the half were $974.70.

Maybe in the next year there will be some carts priced at $2380...

The carts bar cart came with 40 mini bottles of red and white wine wine and one bottle of Champagne from the business class cellar; two business class ASPAR amenity kits; a Qantas first class Sheridan throw & two Qantas business class sleeper suits. Double for the full cart.
