14 Day quarantine- what are the restrictions?
I am landing in Sydney on Monday morning from SFO. Do you think I can still catch my domestic connection to Adelaide to get home for my 14 Day self quarantine? What are the rules?

The equivalent NZ rules allow domestic flight after an international flight.

Anyway your AKL-SYD flight may not be flying.

If home is Adelaide, then just do what returning aircrew will do. Keep flying until you get to the home destination. There is a school of thought that says that this is the way to go.

Heard on the radio in NZ that's how it will work for travellers returning so expect the same in Oz.

Today Qantas announced a waiver for all bookings (new and old) with travel up to 31st May - you need to apply before March 31st.

So it looks like a credit rather than a refund. I doubt I would use the credit by Feb 2021 (one year from ticket issue). What happens if you take the credit and don't use it all? Forfeit the outstanding amount?
Might be simpler to suffer the canx fee (NZ$200 in my case) and get my money back.

You do not have to self-isolate where you arrive in New Zealand, you can continue on to the destination where you self-isolate, for example arriving at Auckland International Airport but living in New Plymouth, you can fly from Auckland to New Plymouth. Where possible while travelling, sit in a window seat in a row by yourself. If you are unwell you should seek advice from Healthline before you travel onwards.
While travelling make sure you use hand sanitiser regularly. If you need to cough or sneeze, cover your mouth or nose, or you can cough and sneeze into your sleeve.
You can only use public transport after you arrive in New Zealand for the sole purpose of returning to your home.
You can’t use public transport, taxis or similar transport methods during your 14 day period aside from the above.
You can use your own transport means (car, bike etc) whenever you wish.
