From my crude and uncalibrated observations using my watch altitude and pressure readings, it seems there is no noticeable difference between the wide body aircraft (747, 330, 787, 777, 380) in the way cabin altitude at long distance cruise level. By my watch it is 1600 to 1800 m whereas the 737 runs at 2400 m or so on cruise. Of course flight deck crew set the cabin altitude and I have read (unverified) that some aircraft have humidifiers for certain sections of the cabin. No idea if QF does this.

The A380 is still superior by way of passenger experience. I've flown enough long and ultra long haul to know that. If you prefer smaller, louder, poorer atmospherics etc, 787's, 330's, 744's that's your choice. I work too hard for my money to suffer any of those aircraft when I'm able to choose an A380 from SYD to LHR etc instead. As for the cargo carrier 777 for ultra long haul I have always avoided that aircraft by changing dates and plans when necessary. That said, on short hops approx 3 hrs or so, I have no problems with the inferior aircraft above.
The A350 is however, the next best thing after an A380 for passenger experience.
