FFQ Change After Upgrade

Hello,

I am taking a flight CGK - SYD - ZQN. I want to upgrade to J via Qantas points but have the original fare credit to my AA account.

Does anyone have any idea if this will be ok? My only concern is if I change the FFQ after I've requested an upgrade it will wipe the upgrade request. It's a Monday flight CGK - SYD so I don't envision it being too hard to clear from Flex Y to J.

Thanks!

An autocorrect typo I'm afraid! Just meant to be FF for Frequent Flier #?

Likely wrong terminology, apologies if so.

I would leave the QFF number in there until the upgrade clears (or not).

Only then change it.

This would preclude selecting upgrades to the gate.

Thanks, mate appreciate it. A bit of a hard one because this flight would push me over to Executive Platinum on AA. If credited to QF, isn't much use.
