Qantas vs AA, BA or expertflyer availability

Hello dear forum,
I have noticed today that the Qantas forum shows availability for
LAX to AUCKLand in business but AA,BA and experflyer doesnt ( march 15, 2010)
same thing with SYD to LAX on april 2/5 ...

I was wondering if this is normal or I am doing something wrong.
I thought I should be able to see the availability on the other sites if it is present in the qantas

Any help will be greatly appreciate it

Patty

2020 or 2010? Qantas forum?
QF does not fly LAX AKL non stop. LAX to AKL will be via BNE, SYD or MEL on QF
AA does fly LAX AKL non stop.

But not sure what you real question is.
By "availability" do you mean business class award availability?
AA will show saver & anytime awards

Flights are sold and operated by airlines. Not by expertflyer.

What does qantas.com show?

My experience has been that expertflyer availability agrees with QF availability from QF or from AA.
Now maybe that has changed.

All of the airline web sites and expertflyer are somewhat out of sync so the inventory you see may or may not be bookable at that instant. This discrepancy is normal based upon the technology used (they dont want to pay more to get better software). These high demand routes for J have inventory disappear in seconds much of the time (thanks to robots and alerting web sites which troll for available inventory). If you see what you like, you have to book quickly, every second counts.

For codeshares such as AKL-LAX (as QF no longer flies own metal on that route) the award inventory is even more likely to be a bit off.

Awards will be on the prime flight number (AA zzz). Not the flight number of the codeshares (QF xxx) if it exists.

But AA has some awards on codeshares in the South Paicfic islands (but not on QF)

I've definitely seen differences. I've seen first class awards available on the QF website that are not shown on EF or on the BA website, and that are shown on the AA website but are not bookable. My presumption here is that this is additional space available only to QF members.

I've seen awards on connecting itineraries that are available on the QF website and on EF and the BA website, but not available on the AA website. Digging a bit, the AA website shows what's available if querying sector by sector, while the other sources report what is available on an O&D search because of QF's married sector availability approach.

Either of these things could be happening to the OP.
