Potential Upgrade
Hi All!
I’ve put in for a points upgrade (economy to business) and the flight checkin is in 15 hours. I’ve noticed the seats were almost empty and now most are gone within an hour! Is there a possibility if they have (hoping) allocated an upgrade seat before being notified?
Also if I’m hoping for an upgrade should I do the online check in or does this ruin the chance?

Check your QF FF points. If upgrade points have just been deducted, then you've (most probably) got the upgrade. Good luck! But, upgrades can happen right up to the time you board the aircraft ....

How long is a piece of string? (extremely looooong? = no chance)
Do you have QF ff points?
Do you have QF status?
Does an "upgrade" button show the QF web site manage booking?

Discounted economy class tickets are not upgradeable with points.
Unless you a CL/P1, you can safely bet on not getting an op-up.
