Can't select seats on 2 connecting flights?

Hey guys, I have 2 connecting flights in December on Qantas that don't allow for seat selections. Is that normal for the short flights to not have seat selection?

Have you tried the "manage booking"? ---->https://www.qantas.com/au/en.html?tabId=manage-booking

https://www.qantas.com/au/en/travel-...selection.html

Seat selection conditions
You can select your seat only on Qantas operated international flights and Qantas domestic flights (excluding select QantasLink services). If seat selection is not available, you can request a preference for an aisle or window seat
.

Most Qantaslink flights (regional destinations) don't allow seat selection until checkin at T-24h

Dash service seat selection is generally 24 hours

717 service seat selection should (usually) be open from booking

not sure about f100 or a320 sorry

One was a Dash 8, so that makes sense, but I believe the other was a 737-800

that part makes no sense. Is it a dash followed by a 737 on the same reservation/day? You might have to scroll through the sequence of flights to find the 737 seat selection (my upcoming dash to 737 screenshots attached as reference)

Do you have a QF PNR? Does that work in mmb?
Maybe you have an AS PNR.

I was on Qantas website, my 3rd of 4 flights had no seat selection available. Based on the itinerary, it is suppose to be a 737-800

Seat selection is disabled for non-status requests when a certain threshold of seata allocated is reached. This is to allow higher-status pax buying high fare tickets later a chance to allocate a seat Most regular QF forum posters on FT have status so don't run into this too often I have no idea what the threshold is but as I often buy tickets late view it as a great service by QF.
