it say valid for booking from 12:01am AEDT but other websites say you better wait until 12.00AM GMT which is far later. I jumped gun and booked around 08:25 AEDT which i believe is before 12am GMT... what's the best way to validate the 6000 dollar i just spent is indeed eligible for DSC? should I email the plat desk?

This is that the 2 x SC's rarely auto post if booked on the first day of the promo but before midnight GMT (11am in MEL/SYD, 10AM in BNE when Daylight saving is active).
Generally this can be resolved by a call, but that can be a lottery.

I go as far as keeping a screenshot of the registration confirmation page as well as last year on one of the promo's none of the bonus posted. They did credit however when I followed up.

QANTAS has also increased its fares to coincide with this double SC offer. Over the last two weeks I have been looking at flying business class on a MEL-HKG, KUL:-MEL route. For that past two weeks the total cost has been between $3200 and $3350 for May 2019. Today, the first day of double SC offer the same fare is now just short of $3800. This means I am now effectively paying around $500 for their double status offer. Sometimes QANTAS can be too smart for their own good. I feel I am being tricked by QANTAS and therefore will be looking at other airlines.

Anyone seeing any good ex-Asia fares? Usually can get some decent prices for J ex-DPS (~$1500) but not seeing very much this year. Best I'm seeing is PEK-SYD-MEL for $2500 return which nets 660 SC and around 32k miles (assuming QF Plat).
