QF127/8 F
Hi!
First time flying Qantas internationally in a premium cabin, what should I expect on the HKG-SYD service in First?
Is it similar to QF's MEL-SIN F service?
Thanks!

No F on the 744 or 333 flights. From what I could see, when the 388 is operating, its only J service as the highest offering - unless I’ve missed something. In any case, with the overnight flight in J, expect a meal service after departure then breakfast about 2 hr to 90 min before arrival. There may be a drinks service first if you’re lucky, otherwise the crew may “integrate” it with the meal (which is a lazy way to do it). Hot towel(s) sometimes. The crew will be happy to allow pax to maximise their rest (sigh). Oh, and there should be PJs and some sort of rolled up bedding in addition to pillow and blanket. Should also be able to pre-order meal.

My comments specifically were for J and assumed that J was the highest class of service - which it is - sometimes.

Booked on QF 127 SYD-HKG in late December and return early January. By all accounts it should be proper first class service, as similar to that offered when flying to SIN.
I've never flown QF F, so looking forward to it

(My personal interest lies in not having booked the 388 hoping for an F seat with J service - I would have been disappointed on being kicked out! And I'm surprised not to have seen this change mentioned already here.)

I think that there's F on the 388 on every day that it's operating, which is (at present) from 1 December 2018 up to and including 28 March 2019. As far as I could see on a quick search, there are only two days in this period when QF127 is not the 388: it's a 744 on 29 and 30 January 2019.

Booked! Very excited.
Looks like people have lost their F seat selection (J ticket) : https://www.australianfrequentflyer....-to-hkg.89890/
