QP - AA Admirals Club access w/ drink coupons?

Hi all, just wondering if QP members still receive premium drink coupons when entering the AA Admirals Clubs? It was the case many years ago, but as I moved to Chile I let my membership lapse and want to manage my expectations now that I'm back "in the QP fold."

TIA!

Yes, drink coupons are still provided when entering using QF QP/SG/WP status.

House liquor is now free including wines, spirits etc. The coupons will get bottled water or ‘top shelf’ liquor. Otherwise it’s pretty much an open bar, no urgency for the drink chits (unlike many years ago).

YMMV ... when, for example, wishing to have a beer and faced with a choice of Bud or Bud light as the freebie options then the chits may be considered essential.

Definitely. Got myself a couple of Stellas in CLT rather than the 'local' alternative.

Thanks, all, responses appreciated. I'm on the side of serfty and GoldCanyon340 and find that the "complimentary" offerings are generally sub-par so it's good to know that the QP membership, being less expensive than an Admirals Club membership, includes this benefit.

I have been able to request extra coupon(s) in the past when required (typically by default receive 1 prior to a domestic flight - occasionally 2). I donít know where they might draw the line on this though.

I usually get given at least a couple, sometimes more.

I think I've always got 2 passes. The only exception was the new Flagship Lounge in Miami because it's all free there.

When I have used up the passes initially given, I have been able to go back for more with no issue.

To resurrect this thread, I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced problems with the new electronic drink tickets at the Admirals Clubs. I have no problem in DEN or PHL, but DCA and ORD seem to have no idea - I was even almost denied entry at ORD once because they didn't know about the reciprocal agreement!

Anyway, the drink coupons are supposed to load directly onto the boarding pass. In DEN I have never had problem. ORD has told me a) that benefit has been discontinued (patently false), and then b) they can't load the coupons on my BP so I can't access the benefit there (they ended up calling the bar to advise). At DCA I was told that I couldn't be traveling on my AA number and use the QP benefits, so they removed the AA number, added QF, and then I had to have them reverse the process when I left. In PHL there was no problem, although I had a new agent so it took her a moment to figure out at the first club, and at the other they were still using paper so there was no issue.

Is anyone else having this problem in Admirals Clubs where they are using the electronic coupons?

(I'm really not an alcoholic, but I do like to access the benefits of QP membership when I travel!)
