Reassuring to read this is an issue! A mate of mine has 12300 QF points which expire at month end. Any idea how I can find out what they could be used for?

Where is your mate located?
Just look for a short flight from nearest airport. Will have option for an award fight.

Several threads on keeping QF points alive
Disaster - Just lost over500k points. Has links to other threads on how to keep QF points alive

Has been reported that asking for a new QF ff card costs 1000 points and resets the clock. Your mate could phone QF ffp & ask.

With ~15 days to the end of the month better something done sooner rather than later.

Using 10,000 points to get a card, might as well just let the points lapose - would only have 2300 points remaining

If the calculator isn't working, the tables at https://www.qantas.com/fflyer/dyn/fl...flight-rewards should allow calculation of the awards in conjunction with great circle mapper

e.g. for DOH-CDG on QR which is 3091 miles
From Partner table
Zone 4 for 2,401-3,600 miles
Economy 28,000
Premium Economy 42,000
Business 53,000
1st 53,000
