speculation: the BA lounge becomes the first class lounge again.
probably make sense to combine BA/QF joint lounge, with F and J segregation.

The roped-off area was only for passengers flying in First and possibly CL/P1.

Exciting times... except for me because I’m only gold. BTW it’s really small as in 15m x 15m

WP isn't a very high status in SYD (I've been on flights where 30% of pax are WP), as for cost expect to pay AUD 3000 from SYD unless you find a sale (and don't care where you fly). Unlikely to be a double SC offer in the next month. The cheaper options are outside of Australia, eg. AA MIA-AUA for more SC per $.

I have a question regarding lounge access to the QF lounge in SIN. Sorry if it has been answered before. I am flying back to LHR from SIN next month in Y on BA12. I am a BA Gold (Emerald) I will be travelling alone with my 3 children who all are below 12 years of age. They have no status.

Is there any chance that they will let me in to the lounge if I arrive around 2000? I read something that QF are not so strict on the 1 guest policy as BA?

From https://www.qantas.com/au/en/frequen...ub/access.html , unless they are under 4 years of age, 2 are permitted as guests

Thank you for the reply. Since I am alone with the 3 children it is all or nothing for me Is there any chance they will let in my youngest that is 6 as an extra guest? And I am also outside the peak period?

You never know you might get lucky, as you are not taking an adult guest with you. Common sense would suggest substituting adult guest for child guest + complementary access for 2 children. But if they follow the rules to the letter, it wouldn't be allowed.

Cheapest SC boost that I have found - SIN-CMB-DXB on UL.

Book the cheapest economy fare available, wait for the email asking you to bid to upgrade.

With a US$150 bid per sector I've had 100% success.

US$300 = 120 extra SCs (160 total) and 4,000 extra points (5,000 total).

Top value, great service and experience. UL is a seriously under-rated airline, especially business class. I love it. It's the only way that I go to Dubai now - NTL-MEL/BNE-SIN-CMB-DXB.

I just called the Qantas lounge in SIN to confirm about access. They said I can only bring 1 guest. There is no rule for One World card holders allowing access for 2 children at the Qantas lounge in SIN. I am BA Gold.

They said if I had a Qantas status card, I could have taken 1 adult and 2 children with me. So I guess this is correct what they told me?
