Hello. I was hoping someone might be able to help me with my interpretation of the Qantas Lounge access rules for Heathrow...
Ill be travelling with BA in business to Vegas, and my nephew will be travelling with Emirates to Dubai in business on the same day (on an EK ticket and flight).
It looks like we both could be eligible for access to the Qantas lounge, or will my nephew only be able to access the Emirates one?
Thanks in advance for any help on this.

@ITFella , yes you will both have access to the Qantas lounge.
You will have both oneworld "Class of Service" and oneworld "Status" based access to the Qantas Lounge.
Your nephew will have "Class of Service" based access to both the EK and QF lounges due to the Emirates/Qantas partnership.

Not sure on the person flying EK having access to the QF lounge. I've been told the rules are different at LHR since the new QF lounge opened. QF passengers can only access the EK lounge if flying in first or have chairmans lounge status, and EK passengers can only access the QF lounge if flying in first.
The published rules changed upon opening to basically allow EK/QF*EK/QF PAX in Business or First access.
(I noted that clearly, as previously access had been more restrictive.)
So, On a "Class of Service" basis it is showing QF Marketed Business or First with guest or EK marketed and operated by QF or EK with no guest.
So Class of service access if on a EK flight number operated by EK or QF is still available.
Lounge Locations | Europe | United Kingdom | London Heathrow Airport | International Lounge
Qantas International Business
Next onward flight that day must be a Qantas marketed flight (QF flight number).
One guest allowed and must be travelling with the member on the same flight.
Emirates International Business
Next onward flight that day must be operated by Qantas or Emirates with an EK flight number.
No guest permitted.

I'm flying out of LHR in EK F coming up, I plan on stopping by both QF and EK lounges. Does anyone know if the Perrier Jouet is available to all F passengers, i.e. EK F? Or only to QF F pax?
Cheers!

I've read somewhere that the QF lounge don't count children towards guest numbers at LHR - is that correct? Seems at odds with the Oneworld policy, but I'm sure I read it somewhere on here?

Sometimes this has been known to be extended to QF elites, those traveling First/Business and even those of *O, but such access is not a given.
It is a real YMMV.

I stopped by a couple of weeks ago and have posted a full review on my website:
My Conclusion
Perhaps I went into this with my hopes set too high but I really dont feel that this lounge is anywhere near the level of Cathays business lounge next door, let alone the First Class section. The Qantas decor isnt as luxurious, the food is not as good, there is a lack of natural light, runway views and power sockets and if you dont like gin, the drinks selection is far more limited.
