Magazines

Is there any way to chase the Qantas free magazine access if it does not appear when it should?

I believe that you are supposed to get Qantas free magazine access appearing in your Qantas App 24 hours prior to departure. I'm flying tomorrow (Sydney Melbourne) at 8:30 and I see nothing yet.

I want to download the magazines whilst I'm at home and have access to ADSL. The airport wifi is terrible.

Apparently Qantas has quietly discontinued free access to PressReader. Your best bet now is your local library or any other location offering free hotspot access.

That is a shame. I only used it once. This is because I've only flown Qantas twice (and not because the service wasn't great). The first time was only a few weeks ago.

Do libraries in Australia offer hotspot access with free Pressreader downloads?

Yes, many do. If you open your PressReader app and go to the hotspot map it'll show you all the places nearest to you that offer free access.

Yes I only found out about QF dropping Pressreader today when an online agent confirmed it. I couldn't access it on my last two flights. Very disappointing - it was a great feature :-(

^ I'd happily take a PDF over using PressReader.

Not sure I follow. With PressReader you can download whatever you want too, and it will give you a PDF and an optimised text flow of that PDF. When I use a phone, I would never look at a PDF - the screen is just way too small for that. I've only used whatever they have on LH twice, but have always been limited to one download from a fairly small selection of mags. Have never had this problem with PressReader.
