HK business lounge. Qantas lounge ? First time

Hello folks
I am to fly on business class for the firs time a one off thing.

Qantas to HK on business class and Finnair to finland on business class as well.
Australia to HK we arrive around 530pm HK local time and we have to wait aprox 6 to 7 hours for our next flight which is Finnair bounce to Helsinki on business class.

I am not a member of any flight cards or memberships.

I want to know what its Qantas lounge feels like? Ive seen reviews videos and photos online but looks far too economical.. far too bright or maybe far too basic as in it feels like a foodcourt with just chairs and tables. But doesn't look very comfortable or maybe very limited to its style. It shows a lot of a long bar that looks more where you have to (pay) for food or drinks. I thought lounges like this they do the serve yourself for free without paying anything else. I wouldn't no.

We looking for a very comfortable place to relax and kick back. Charge our laptop/phone and watch tv and eat without paying anything else. But i don't see much of that on the reviews with Qantas lounge.

Take note that not every lounge or areas will let you in because you have to be some how a membership or a frequent business flyer passenger or soemthing like that.

We also expect some place for private shower/toilet as well. I mean 6 to 7 hours is a lot of hours and we do not expect to step outside the airport. We have to wait to catch the Finnair flight bounce to Europe next which be around 12 or 1 at night local HK time.

We arrive at HK aprox 530pm hk local time. So i dont no how busy or will there be any food at Qantas lounge or not or what to expect.

Or alternative is there other better and best lounges to try ? Or are they all suppose to mean we still have to pay to enter regardless if your a business class passenger ?

The reviews we seen it looks good but it just looks too bright. Maybe looks more like a foodcourt rather then a relaxing place. It shows enough of the bar where they serve you if you pay them. But i thought this was to be free as in help serve yourself with a plate and drinks.

I would not no if you still have to pay to get into any business lounge plus like ive indicated not every lounge will let you in unless your a membership of oneworld card or something like that

Your advice and review on this would be much apreciated. And if so maybe alternative a different lougne would be best other then just Qantas perhaps?

Thank you.

Go to the Qantas Lounge.

I suggest you read over all your previous threads, questions and answers from all your previous bounces on Finnair:

The QF HKG lounge is fine. You don't pay for anything. Plenty of food options. Showers, lounges, tables and chairs. Also, the airport can occupy time by shopping or wandering. Great views. Its also possible to take a quick trip into the city. The bus gives better views than the train.

as a one world business flyer you can access any one world lounge.

being a cathay pacific home base naturally their lounge is excellent. CX (cathay pacific) has about 5 lounges, but long story short, PIER business lounge near gate 65 is probabably one of best lounge you find anywhere in world and likely better than some of FIRST lounge elsewhere... you can do lounge hopping meaning go from one to other.. dont waste time at WING or CABIN lounge... BRIDGE maybe ok (near PIER) as well.

go to cathay forum, and search for PIER lounge. you find photo and review. for me, i been to PIER so many times so its just normal but for first time visito it is definitely a WOW.

Hi. Yes ive recently heard the PIER business lounge at HK international airport. Though i still need to review it and check it out on video and photos just to compare it with Qantas lounge at HK international airport.

But like i said it all depends if they let you in or not. Regardless even if your on business class ticket makes no difference's unless your some kind of membership which im not. I did read along the way a review about this so i kept on my mind that perhaps not every lounge are just for anyone unless you hold a special card or something.

I mean 6 to 7 hours wait i would like something comfortable. Just means i don't want to hang around the airport in the open space for that long. It's why private lounge are for my ideal me and my wife. And wait until we go back to the gate to catch the next flight.

We be coming by Qantas on business class for the first time. I can't wait. I will see how i feel after i step out of business class either im tired or feeling fresh. Because economy seat was so bad i felt tired and sore legs once i step out of the plane next. So will see if there's any differences with business class specially on the long haul flights.

After the 6 to 7 hours wait we are to board on the plane again with Finnair or Cathay pacific on business class for the (long haul flight) to reach to Europe i don't no how i will feel. Might feel refresh or tired i dont no. Its just the how comfortable one feels on business class. Never being on one of them before so it be an experience.

So in regards to PIER business lounge what is so different about this one compare to Qantas lounge as an example ?

Presuming HK has so many lounges of different airlines. Your telling me i could just go to any private lounge regardless my ticket was Qantas business class and as-well finnair business class?

I didn't thought it looked (free) food at Qantas lounge. Ive kept seen the same bar which has workers working there serving you alcohol and meals.. You really saying that is also free? I thought it was more like help serve yourself with a plate rather then them doing it for you? Unless there is free area and one where you pay.

Look at this picture

It also does have nice views of the all interior of the airport from this above Qantas lounge. Just was more wondering about this bar.. just looks more an area where you just have to pay. I don't no. But then again maybe there are areas where i can and not go if unless your a oneworld membership. I could be mistaken...

I said in Post 5 (about the QF lounge) that you do not pay for anything.

Have you booked your flights or not?

If you have booked them I suggest you ask your travel agent these questions.
If you have not booked them then I suggest you ask your travel agent for help.

How did you find your last bounce via Singapore?
