Jetstar legroom

My partner is quite tall and gets stressed with uncomfortable flights. I booked us on the Jetstar A320 in row 1, but D / E.

I am a bit worried now because seatguru says the legroom on these seats is limited, whereas A / B / C has lots of extra space.

I assume D / E still has extra space, correct? If so, any idea how much extra? A/B/C are sold out now.

Thanks!

Flight where to where?
1ABC are by the door so a lot of space
1DEF are against a bulkhead
You can pay extra for exit rows 13 & 14

13 and 14 are now taken too. Is there any more legroom in 1DE compared to other seats, despite the bulkhead? It's Ayers Rock to Melbourne.

1DEF are possibly the worst seats for long legged passengers as there is no cut out in the bulkhead for feet and you cannot put your legs under the seat in front, they do not exist.
1BC are the best, 1A has the emergency slide intruding on some of left had side legroom but is acceptable.

Just any other seat will have more legroom. But how long is the flight anyway?

2 hours 40, which for me is not a big deal, but for him being so tall, it really stresses him out. I'll change the row and keep checking form time to time just in case an exit row seat somehow frees up...

1DE are OK for KNEE space but no good if you need to stretch your legs.

Ah ok, so the 'knee to wall/back seat' space is bigger in 1D than it is in other rows? By how much?

The benefit of 1D at least is that you can stretch your legs into the isle, so maybe it is still the best seat of what is left?

Yes, it would be possible to sit sideways and put your feet into the aisle, but the FAs won't like it as they will be accessing the galley infront of the bulkhead infront of the 1 DEF seats. Other pax won't like it as they are accessing the toilet on the left front side. As said, 1D is OK for knees (I'm 188 cm tall) and it has IIRC at least several inches of space infront of knees whereas the ordinary seats have negative space infront of knees. There is really no other option if the exit rows are taken and 1ABC are taken. Of course, you could buy an extra seat and keep that empty for space - just pay for seat allocation so the two of you have three seats together.

Just bought an extra seat - at 1F - so we now have 1def. 3def is free too, but I think I'll keep row 1 if knee space is better. They said it's not possible to check in online when you have paid for an extra seat, but other than that, all seems in order. Thanks.
