QF27 Transfer

Hi All,
Looking for some feedback on how transfers in Santiago normally go as I am looking at QF27 arrive 11:10 and then transferring to a LAN flight at 12:25 to Sao Paulo. Will this be enough time as a general rule? As the next flight has me layed over for a few hours getting into Sao Paulo late evening then with a 3 hour drive so not keen on this although not keen on missing a connection or not having bags arrive in Sao Paulo.

Thanks in advance

D

Are you on a single ticket or separate tickets? Checked bags or carry on only?

On a single ticket with carry on only 1:15 connection is doable as you only need to clear security at SCL and there is a small buffer if the inbound flight is running late.

On separate ticket with checked bags 1:15 isn't long enough to safely clear immigration and customs and check in before the onward flight closes for check in.

Hi Kiwi Flyer,
Would be on single ticket with checked baggage so still doable I hope although will look at just carry on if possible.

Thanks

I have connected in SCL (AKL-SCL-EZE) on same ticket (LA to LA) with 1:25 connection last December. Flights were on time and bags appeared in EZE as hoped. BUT, it didn't leave a huge amount of spare time in SCL - only just enough to find the lounge, find someone to let us into the showers, find a nice coffee then off to the departure gate. Oh, and we were early landing in SCL but sat short for some time. Also in the first group off the plane so that helped. I'd never do this on separate tickets - especially with bags (think Reciprocity for the unlucky Passport holders).

Thanks OG and as i will also be one of the first off the plane it will all come down to the arrival time.
