I do not believe the 10am start time has been confirmed, just suggested.

A reasonable compromise could be 11:30 for first tranche and 20 minutes later for the second.

I can be there as early as 8:35am if you need me to (from TMW via SYD - with the JG flights, QF seems to be keeping the TMW-SYD-BNE flights exceedingly cheap).

Should I go ahead and book flights?

QF WP posted the suggestion from QF for 10am. It isn't set.

I am certain the ongoing discussions centre on the fact that many folks have already organised flights coming in later and hopefully a compromise can be reached.

Glad I booked to stay in BNE the Friday night, so I'm reasonably set. If we start that early the AGM could be done by 4 so may try to get on the earlier MEL flight

Noooo RichardMEL, who is going to send free drinks back to the plebs in Y on the 637?

(TBH, if it goes as per past years, this pleb will have his eyes shut the entire trip back to MEL).

I am reticent to break up the group into the "early arrivals" and "late arrivals" (or any other variable), as the whole event is structured for the networking. Some who have Gold+ status with VA may be able to "Fly Ahead", however the same can't be said for QF arrivals (at the whim of the CSA?)

It would also impact the availability of the QF Execs, which we have agreed in the past is hugely beneficial to both parties.

I believe we should retain the 1pm start (knowing full well that we aren't going to have the "full QCatering operational tour").

I'll be back online tonight updating posts 2 & 3, as I'll need something to take my mind off a sad event that will happen today in my extended "family".

QF WP has had a bit on his plate this week so I have taken the liberty of populating the post based on the info listed. I hope I am not stepping on any toes. The time for the catering tour is still to be determined, but to avoid too many missing out it may be around noon or 1pm
