Perth Lounge access
Hi,
I am BA silver which I believe is One World Sapphire.
We will be flying Perth to Sydney with on QF582 in Y .
Do I have any access to a Qantas lounge and if so can I guest my husband?

I had already read that page and was not sure if it meant I had to be flying business class.

Yes but the access will only be to the Qantas Club, not the brand new Business Lounge
You can bring one guest in with you, provided that guest is also flying a Oneworld flight that day

Nope. Your one guest does not need to be travelling. Only you (as the status holder) need to be.

Not according to the OneWorld lounge access rules - Emerald and Sapphire members may invite one guest to join them in the lounge. The guest must also be travelling on a flight operated and marketed by a oneworld carrier.

This is different to the rules for Qantas Club members i( which Qanats Gold/Platinum members are) nviting guests into a Qantas lounge where Qantas's rules apply

Cannot find ( though may have missed it ) a page which states that a guest need not be travelling when accessing using non QF OW status

It is spelt out clearly and unambiguously in the QF page referenced above. Scroll down to the "Eligible oneworld Status" section.

Sapphire

Next onward flight that day must be on a oneworld operated and marketed flight.#

One guest allowed and does not need to be travelling.

I was trying to find that page but wasnt coming up in search engine. Indeed, QF does seem to have more generous access than the OW rules

I am not sure of any QF Domestic lounge that has champagne, apart from special occasions.

It is also served on the PER to East Coast AU flights.

I expected better since PER to SYD/MEL J cost about 2x SYD/MEL to NZ J flights where champagne is served, though usually not very good, I prefer that to Grant Burge.
