More Seasonal Flights to NZ?

Just booked a flight to SYD from WLG under the "Love every second" sale and noticed the following at the end of the booking process.

•Flights QF121/122 on Thursday and Friday between Sydney and Queenstown on 26 – 27 Dec 2013 and 2 – 3 Jan 2014 are subject to Government and regulatory approval.
•Flights QF165/166 between Sydney and Wellington on 21-22 December 2013 are subject to Government and regulatory approval.

I could not see these fligths appear in the booking engine (note the dates are for last year!) and wonder if QF are too busy putting on seasonal flights to announce all of them (eg repeat of last year), or update the booking system to dlete this reference.

I wonder if these flights, if resumed this year, will be mainline diverted from domestic duties to support the Trans-Tasman pre-Xmas holiday peak.

Latest Qantas News (Industry Sales)
Qantas Offers Additional Services to Wellington 17 September 2014

Qantas has published four additional return Boeing 737-800 services to Wellington from 19 to 23 December 2014 to cater for increased demand over the holiday period.

Qantas will operate three return services between Melbourne and Wellington and one return service between Sydney and Wellington. This is in addition to the 14 return services a week already offered between Sydney and Wellington and 7 return services between Melbourne and Wellington.

New Zealand is a key market for Qantas and these additional services to Wellington are part of more flexible scheduling to meet demand, particularly for people visiting friends and relatives over Christmas.
We’ve added services across the trans-Tasman to meet demand over the holiday period with 124 flights and more than 26,000 seats.

Additional seasonal services to New Zealand:

Sydney - Wellington One return supplementary service on 20 December 2014

Melbourne - Wellington Three return supplementary services on 19, 22 and 23 December 2014

Perth - Auckland Two return seasonal services per week between 5 December 2014 and 26 April 2015

Sydney - Auckland Five return seasonal services between 17 and 27 December 2014
Six return supplementary services between 1 and 26 January 2015
Upgraded aircraft to A330 on 20 and 26 December 2014

Brisbane - Auckland One return supplementary service on 20 December 2014

Melbourne - Auckland Two return supplementary services on 20 and 27 December 2014

Sydney - Christchurch Three return supplementary services on 20,23 and 26 December 2014

Aren't some of these services, just Qantas making up for there canceled services they announced recently?

Qantas seems to trying very hard to save them self in the NZ market lately the amount of Qantas billboards is getting over kill.

Looking at AKL-SYD on 20/12/14 (Last Saturday before Christmas) Qantas still has an bit of catcup to NZ

QF140 - 738 -168pax
QF142 - 738 -168pax
QF182 - 738 -168pax
QF144 -738 -168pax
QF46 - 332 - 235pax

Total: 907 pax

NZ101 - 763 - 230pax
NZ103 - 789 -302pax
NZ119 - 772 - 304pax
NZ705 - 320 - 168pax
NZ708 - 320 - 168pax

Total: 1272 passengers

So at the moment NZ have 265 seats more than Qantas
