Pay taxes with points - gone?
I was trying to book an award flight today (PER-KGI). On QF.com here:
http://www.qantas.com.au/fflyer/dyn/...Points/flights
it says that "Qantas Point levels inclusive of taxes, fees and carrier charges are offered on eligible wholly Australian and New Zealand domestic Classic Awards."
However when I go to the booking page there is now no option to pay taxes. It was there when I checked a few weeks ago, and I'm sure I have more than enough points to pay the taxes so that's not the problem. Is the feature gone for good, or just a system error?

I could not initially see how to do it either - even on a simple one-way domestic booking.
Then I looked harder:
It should be possible: https://qantas.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/376
"ensure Show Classic Awards is not selected on the search panel prior to searching" - seems a bit counter-intuitive!?!?!
However, it appear QF are trying to have just the one tool for both cash and reward bookings.
So you need to do a revenue booking search, look for the points/rewards options, select one, then use the 'slider' to vary the pay component.
