Quick Questions On QF / BA Codeshare Practicalities

Hello All

#1 Son has, at T-16 of the start of his round the world travels, revealed that his flights on BA metal were sold and ticketed via QF.

In order to reduce future stressing, two questions I hope somebody can help with;

1. At LHR this evening for his BA metal flight to BKK does he check in at BA or QF desks?

2. Too late for this leg, but if he contacts Qantas and asks for his BA flight booking codes would he then be able to take advantage of BA's T-24 seat selection facility?

Thanks

Paul

At Heathrow , he needs to check in with the operating carrier

Since he is flying on a BA aeroplane, then he needs to check in with BA in Terminal 3

I don't think that online check in works for the codeshares, but not 100% sure on the state of that these days

The BA operating PNR will be required for the BA flight. QF or BA should be able to provide this 'ghost' PNR which can be used for check-in.

Thanks both for the prompt responses. Much appreciated. Now to prepare for the drive to LHR T3.

Haven't BA moved their BKK flights to T5 now?

BKK moves to T5 at the end of October. I am so not looking forward to navigating to T3 this evening...

Parcel delivered successfully and with minimal stress all round.

Not mightily impressed though by the ambience of the QF check in area, which is where we are headed just before Christmas on our QF2 to SYD. Do they give out vitamin D tablets?

You're not planning on doing a Kel 'n' Kim are you, hanging around the airport rather than taking a flight?
