Hi all , put in a points upgrade request from J to F I know my chances are slim being silver but will be Gold in September will my status then be upgraded straight away to get a better pecking order for my flight next year ?

This seems like the most appropriate and relatively recent thread.

Any idea on how long Gold packs take to come out, or if there have been any delays lately?

I qualified about 7 weeks ago and it hasn't arrived, while my Silver one arrived inside 10 days. Or was it just very quick?

they make the packs im batches. It depends when you gain new status vs when they make the next batch.

7 weeks is still a long time though. Doesn't hurt to give them a call.

I got gold in late August and still haven't got the pack. Likewise, silver pack arrived within a week or so. I rang up, and they said they would send me some more tags.

Yes, same with me as well, qualified in Sep and still no pack. Called them up on Tue and I was advised that they were having issues with the company that dispatches the cards. The agent put in a new request and said that the pack should arrive next week. Lets see.:confused:

My Silver pack took 6 weeks or so to arrive.

I wonder if the delays are caused by the issuing (including to existing members) of the qantas cash card? maybe they were delaying sending out new cards until they could send a Qcash one?
