While my attendance is likely, I seem to have morphed (not by my own hand) from Silver to Gold for this DO.

Gold and a WP1.

Have been to the last two AGMs and would like to make it a hat trick.

Talking

There's a current sale with $119 fares MEL-BNE which I have just booked for the day.

Must say I am enjoying my WP1 and being able to choose row four when booking.

At this stage I may wait until the next "sale" to see if things improve a little.

Tempting... Will this be as good as cheap as it gets?

Which flights are you on?

Penegal - 119 MEL-BNE is pretty good, though occasionally I have seen I think 105 or so, but I'd grab the 119 while you can given recent general fare rises, this is probably the best that will be around before the dates - and even they go down to 105, you're only saving less than $30 roundtrip, and is not guaranteed to be available anyway.

I'm considering flying up on the Friday myself catching up with a friend and probably flying out on the 1910 or 1920(whatever it is) to MEL on the Sat night.

The 9:05 am flight has a row 4 occupant ...

This sale is on 'till next Friday and loadings are at least E5 (U6 and X9) so plenty of time to consider ... (not suggesting awards, just the sale fares)

Need to think about when to return ... likely the 5pm.

In the past I have always done QF637 in summer... but I don't have as far to "go" when I land in MEL

I thought about the 5pm also - arrives at a nice time at MEL - still some daylight(a little , anyway). I'm a bit miffed there's my 6pm, but the 5pm reduces the meet time if it starts at 3.... decisions decisions! LOL
