Skytrax: QF 10th Best JQ 2nd Best LCC
In know it is Skytrax but QF has an improvement from 15th to 10th and JQ is no.2 LCC and 3K is 7th.
Regardless of what we think about the validity of Skytrax it is still an internationally recognised ranking so well done to the staff at QF, JQ and 3K.

As a general principle I disagree... but GA has improved a lot in recent years.
From inflight service on SYD-CGK... GA >>QF
Both A330s.
GA daily, QF every second.
GA fully flat in Biz, big seat pitch, for all have the immigration officer on Board, use the QF lounge in SYD, and better lounge at CGK
QF plies on old A330 with Skybed Mk Is

After taking economy flights on JQ SIN-MEL last December, and BA SIN-SYD (admittedly on their older 744 product) during November I was surprised that I found Jetstar (with meal/points bundle) no worse, and if anything slightly better as I felt the seating more comfortable than BA. The food on JQ was also better. If I were to sum up the flights in Y I've taken back to Australia over the last 2-3 years my preference would be SQ>EK>QF>JQ/BA.
I've also done TG on a mileage run, and they would rank beside EK, but vowed never again, as it's not at all fun looking at the map and realising you are only about 50-100km from home, yet still have 7hrs travel to go.

Regardless of how we view them the airlines did not compile the results and you can guarantee that it will feature in their marketing and possibly impact consumers' choice of airline as well.

Now QF with # 2 First Class Lounge while EK is #6.
Bet the latter will steam 'em up a bit.
And its been pointed out to me elsewhere that BA at #4 may have benefited by voting being conducted before the change of caterer at T5.
Just had a bit of a trawl through the FT threads on that issue.
Blimey.
