20% reduction in points required for Jetstar redemptions

Qantas Frequent Flyer today announced new Classic Award points pricing, enabling members to book Jetstar flights for 20 per cent less.

In a further expansion of the popular Frequent Flyer program, members can now also redeem points on Jetstar flights to more than 20 new Jetstar Classic Award destinations across Asia through the Jetstar Japan and Jetstar Asia networks.

If they discount them a further 79% I might consider booking a flight with them!

My limited Death Star experience has me happy to consider bus and train options over them

Not quite sure how it works, but a dummy booking for SIN-HKG on 3K is giving me 20kg of checked baggage. Although the actual value of such a flight doesn't seem very attractive, with each point being equivalent to around 0.55 - 0.8 AUD cent per point.

Whilst I believe that QF can go further, it is definitely a good start. Luggage inclusion is a plus.
