Changing an upgraded flight

I did a search on this, couldn't find anything.
I upgraded a domestic flexi saver ticket but can no longer see the 'change' button on Manage Your Booking.
If I was to ring up to change the flights what should I expect? A phone assistance fee? a cancellation of the upgrade? Or a smooth sail change (provided there is availability).

Thanks

I understood the upgrade is lost, but I have not scrutinised the T&C for some time.

The points used to upgrade are forfeited should you rebook the flights withing 24 hours of travel or fail to board.

If you cancel a confirmed Flight Upgrade more than 24 hours before scheduled departure, the Upgrade points may be refunded less a 5000 point "Refund of Unused Flight Upgrade Fee".

I have come across anecdotes of sometimes being able to change to an earlier flight in the upgraded class at the airport on the day of travel, but that's very much a YMMV situation.

Thanks. It's a bit weird to have the upgrade lost as they claim on the upgrade page that the paid fare rules apply to the upgraded ticket.

You can call and move the date of an upgraded domestic flight, retaining the upgrade if the new day has availability.

Did this today, stiff change fee plus assisted booking fee almost $100, plus big up-fare as today is between-sales-day for QF domestic. But still worth it to retain the J seat.

Alternatively you can cancel the upgrade online by selecting "upgrade" in "your bookings", there is a cancel button. It has to be done manually and takes 1-3 days. Once that goes through and you get the points back, minus the 5k cancellation fee, then you can cancel/change the flight online.

Here's an update.
I was able to move the booking to an earlier date for a $40 service fee.
