Syd-hnl jq or qf?
Hi all,
I am flying to HNL with my wife and my 7 month old baby.
At this stage I am thinking Starclass SYD-HNL and QF Y class HNL-SYD.
Two questions please -
Does Jet Star have bassinets in starclass and economy?
Return trip should I fly JQ Y class or QF Y?
Thanks in advance for any advice ^

The JQ A332 will be the nicer (read: quieter) ride, but this is balanced by the (hopefully) better reliability of QF but on the older 763. The later QF flight will be better for getting sleep (ie closer to a normal "going to sleep" time).

This recent thread may assist in some part.
There are bassinets in both "Business" and Economy on JQi 330's.

Have done SYD/HNL/SYD twice on JQ in J, one time return was cancelled came home on QA in J, more room, larger seat very old plane, food was average, service good. No back seat entertainment.
If your after points as a JASA or paying think I'd go JQ, their bulk head seats have lots of room in front and wider that in Y, as a QFF member you can get full status and J flying points for about same cost as QA in Y. We paid $2150 each for J return (went Nov.).
Not sure why food on J return was better than way over. QA lounge in HNL not changed much in 25 years, dam old and is a decent walk to from.
Good place to stay is Ilikai apartments on waterfront looks over marina, around $1200 for a week all up, inc tax and cleaning.
