This NB QP member has received nothing.
Still smarting from the c**p experience in 2001 at the SYD International QP.
I just wanted to escort Wifey to a seat in the lounge (prob 4 mins total duration) and then take the kids out for a walk and junk food - but the dragon point blank insisted that I had to submit guest 2 passes for the kids aged 7 and 9 .... even those waiting behind me were shocked
I, of course, submitted the passes - couldn't leave the kids unsupervised in the lounge entry area (could I?). I didn't stop on the way out 2 mins later to see if she was 'kind' enough to hand return the passes as we exited.
I'm just about over it.......

Does this apply to OneWorld status travelers as well? I'm traveling SIN to LHR in July in Premium Economy on QF1 with wife and two kids. I am AA Platinum (OneWorld Sapphire). According to the QF website my OneWorld status would grant myself and one guest access to the QF/BA operated business class lounge in Singapore. Anyone know if this new policy would let me bring in the whole family?
The website also says that this lounge has showers... anyone used them? I quite like the idea of a shower before getting on a midnight 14 hour flight.
Thanks

Whilst the policy isn't specifically for OW elites, I have not seen families of any eligible OW elites turned away from the lounges.

Thanks. We'll try and see if we are admitted. I ask because I've been turned away by BA at LHR T4 in the past... arriving in on an AA flight, connecting to a BA short haul flight. AA flight was biz class (for all four of us) but connecting was economy. BA lounge would admit me and one guest based on Sapphire status, but would not admit whole family despite AA biz class arriving flight, they would only admit BA biz class arriving flights, or departing OneWorld biz class flights. I was very surprised and disappointed in BA, but they were following policy to the letter.

QF has always been really good with this, recognising that families should not be split up, and that it generates more in goodwill to keep a family together than it costs in services priovided. BA has adopted - wrongly - the opposite approach.

DJ offers double credits, QF responds with double credits. DJ gets some press about being family friendly, QF "announces" something that was always the case anyway. Good to see that even though he's no longer on the payroll, Borghetti is still setting the agenda at QF......
Remind me what they pay Joyce for, again?

Heck, back in 2007, I got myself, my mother, my sister and her two kids (aged 12 and 8) into both the SYD and BNE domestic QP's without them batting an eyelid, and that was as a PS/QP member.
I think Scotts comment was more about QF always reacting to what DJ are doing, instead of being the market leader, but then this is the way that QF has always been.

Would be nice if F lounges and domestic business lounges were excluded. Personally I hate traveling during school holidays when premium lounges are over run by children. I don't see what the issue would be with asking platinum FF not traveling in domestic business or First with using the QF club when traveling with children. Either that or if QF could put in place some quite zones for those of us who are not into being surrounded by kiddies.

But it wasn't publicly stated that this was the policy.

IIRC, offers for DSC have been around for a good few years!
I'm glad that VA are shaking the established player - competition is always good for the customer.
