E-ticket delivery problems?

Hi everyone,
I wonder if anyone have had QF e-ticket delivery problems this week. I made an online booking (QF AU website) on Weds 8 Feb. Normally the e-ticket would be sitting in my email inbox within 1 hour. On Thurs 9 Feb, it still has not arrived. I checked the checkmytrip website and saw that the itinerary was already ticketed - there was a ticket number there. So I called the Platinum line and the agent said that he would re-order another e-ticket to be emailed to me - I still have yet to receive it today (Fri 10 Feb). Normally it wouldn't have taken so long. There is nothing wrong with my email delivery system - I have been receiving emails as per normal from other sources over these few days.
Has anyone experienced similar problems?
The itinerary has definitely been ticketed - was able to print it off checkmytrip with the 081-ticket number.
Cheers, Gerald

I have waited days sometimes for the e-ticket receipt to appear. Not just now, but over the last couple of years.

Just made a booking on 8th of Feb

I just made a booking for SYD-BOS-SYD and my wife booked a JASA for the same flight. We received an e-ticket confirmation within minutes and we are only silver.
I would keep bugging the platinum desk about this.

Good Luck :)

Thanks everyone for replies. My trip is not till end-June. Anyway I am able to print the itinerary off checkmytrip together with the e-ticket number. Still this is very puzzling as all along my e-tickets have been delivered promptly.

Try this for a more useful/detailed printout:

Amadeus Itinerary Receipt (ITR)

Thanks serfty for the link. My e-ticket receipt still has not arrived from QF yet. This has never happened before. Anyway I am able to print the e-ticket off both checkmytrip and that amadeus link.

E-ticket receipts are issued in (roughly) order of priority, so if your flight is not for a long time into the future you may not receive it for some days, but if your flight is tomorrow generally you will get it almost instantaneously.

My suggestion is to call the Platinum desk, but ask them to call the ticketing desk to get the ticket issued while you are on the phone. You could say you need it now because of an upgrade request, or you need it for work or somesuch reason to say you need it now. Some parts of QF have normal business working day operating hours, I am not certain this will work on a weekend. But it can be done.

Hi QF Lad, the e-ticket has already been issued, in fact it was issued on the day itself according to what I see on serfty's amadeus link, and also on checkmytrip where there is a 081-eticket number. So if I wanted to do any upgrading etc if it were an eligible fare, I would have been able to without any problems. Also that printout from the amadeus site would certainly be acceptable as an e-ticket receipt as well as the airport. As mentioned in my earlier posts in this thread, I am just puzzled that the ticket has been issued on the day itself, but the usual QF e-ticket receipt still has not been emailed out to me yet.

It turned out to be an issue with the email system at my workplace. (I used my work emails for my Qantas e-ticket delivery). Someone updated the spam filter and emails from Qantas seemed to have gotten caught in it

I booked an award in November 2011 (originating in Paris) for travel in October this year and although confirmed it has still not been ticketed (and credit card has not been charged for taxes, etc). I've never waited this long before but travel is still 8 months away!

How things differ. I booked a pair of tickets in the "two together" promo a couple of days ago for SYD-(europe)-SYD travel in October and could allocate seats almost immediately and the e-ticket receipt was emailed within about 15 min of the issuing of the PNR.

I've been able to allocate seats but apparently the e-ticket has to be produced in Frankfurt - and "they are a bit behind", as I was informed.
