Looking at UA for Sunday and Monday, they have seats available in all classes for sale SYD-LAX. On SYD-SFO all classes available for sale except business on Monday. Imagine these will disappear quick. If you're looking for alternate arrangements jump on these before they're gone.

SFO-SYD has seats in all classes Saturday, Sunday and Monday. LAX-SYD has coach on Saturday and all classes Saturday, Sunday, Monday.

Can the government force Qantas to resume service? What options are available to them?

ABC NEWS 24 seems to be the best source of information at the moment.

The joke has been the DJ is ANv2 but QF is sounding more like it.

For anyone wishing to follow the news directly from Australia, the Australian Broadcasting Corporations' (ABC) News24 Channel has lifted it's usual geoblock - and is now available to be watched live, online and worldwide.

Coverage can be viewed at:

I have a three First flights and a business flight coming up over the next 6 weeks. All redeemed on points.

This can't go on for more than 48 hours. Come Monday having ZERO QF flights nationally will have a large $ impact on the Aussie GDP. The Gov will get involved though I am not sure which way it will fall.

Albanese on ABC24 sounding like a union mouthpiece.

if he wasn't aware that this was a likely outcome he shouldn't be transport minister.

given the fall off in bookings they were already experiencing with the union action todate, what should have they done - come out and said that we are thinking about shutting down the airline...
